Tracking ORTUS TECHNOLOGY’s History of “Industry Firsts”

As a specialist in small and medium-sized LCDs, ORTUS TECHNOLOGY has developed a long list of breakthrough technologies since inaugurating its LCD business.
We have recorded one “Industry First” after another over the years.

2010 ORTUS TECHNOLOGY established
2009 Casio Computer Co., Ltd. and Toppan Printing Co., Ltd. announce cooperative venture in small and medium-sized display business
2008
  • 546ppi ultra-high-definition 2" QHD TFT-LCD developed
  • Producton of Blanview LCD started
2007
  • 6.1" OLED display developed.
  • Production of HAST2-TFT initiated.
2005 Production of HAST2-TFT initiated.
2004
  • TFT production by Panyu in China initiated.
  • 368ppi ultra-high-definition 2.2" TFT LCD developed.
2002
  • 2nd-line production of TFTs launched at Kochi Casio.
  • TFT production by VPT in Malaysia initiated.
  • Shipments of high specification aircraft TFT LCD commenced.
2000 Mass production of TFTs for cellular phones begun.
1998 Mass production of HAST-TFTs begun.
1995 First DSC TFT-LCDs shipped.
1994
  • TFT production by Kochi Casio initiated.
  • First color TV TFT-LCDs shipped.
